Town House

This family home in Žižkov appears modest but unveils significant transformations upon closer inspection. The white facade with a red, porthole-adorned door introduces the interior’s theme of lightness and transparency. Structural changes removed internal walls, creating an open-plan ground floor that flows from the living area to the kitchen and into a winter garden. Large-format windows flood the home with natural light, blending interior and exterior.

The spiral staircase with red wooden steps is a standout feature, combining visual lightness with sleek metal elements and a rhythmic geometric design. Natural light from the glass ceiling enhances the space’s openness. The winter garden extends the living area, emphasizing flow and transparency, with glass doors and minimalist furniture adding to the airy atmosphere. Central lighting and artistic touches, including a portrait and Gaetano Pesce’s Up 5 chair, complete the cosmopolitan aesthetic. In the kitchen, red and white elements harmonize with dark wood tones for warmth. A hidden extractor fan maintains the clean, minimalist look. Upstairs, the bright bedroom is dominated by white with red accents, and a new French window replaces the balcony, offering a garden view. This modern minimalist project balances functionality, aesthetics, and a strong connection to nature.
