Exhibition of the Czech Crown Jewels

Over the course of just a few days, thousands of people visited Vladislav Hall at Prague Castle to witness our nation’s most treasured symbols. This year’s installation, Treasure in the Darkness, offered not only a unique visual experience but also an opportunity to uncover the dramatic story of the Crown Jewels during the Second World War.

We would like to thank Prague Castle and President Petr Pavel for making this installation possible and for enabling visitors to experience something truly exceptional.
Our gratitude also goes to every visitor your presence, reactions, and interest give meaning to our work.

For us at AI DESIGN, it was a great honor to prepare this exhibition. Every detail from the architecture of the space to the lighting design and twelve large format panels was created to provide an intense encounter with history and to help visitors perceive the Crown Jewels not only as symbols of power but also as witnesses to turbulent times.

The exhibition has ended, but the story of the Crown Jewels continues.

Eva Jiřičná Returns to Ostrava!

The exhibition EVA JIŘIČNÁ & AI DESIGN offers a retrospective of the architectural work of Eva Jiřičná and the AI-DESIGN studio, which she co-founded with architect Petr Vágner. It presents a curated selection of significant projects by both architects, showcasing their distinctive approach to architecture—marked by attention to detail, structural lightness, and innovative use of materials, particularly glass and metal.

The exhibition will feature designs and completed projects such as the renovation of the Pardubice Castle, the refurbishment of a tower building in Ostrava, the iconic spiral staircase in London’s Somerset House, and the proposal for the New Orangery at Prague Castle.

These works will be presented through models, drawings, visualizations, and other materials that reveal not only the final outcome but also the creative process behind the architecture.

The exhibition provides a comprehensive insight into the evolution of architectural thinking by Eva Jiřičná, Petr Vágner, and their team. It offers a glimpse into a design practice that is both technically precise and thoughtfully conceived, while being visually striking and sensitively responsive to its surroundings.

The exhibition will be personally inaugurated by architect Eva Jiřičná.

The public opening will take place on Friday, May 16 at 7 PM
MAPPA Za výlohou, Nádražní 17, Ostrava.

The exhibition will be open to the public on weekdays from 2 PM to 6 PM, and will run until September 30, 2025.

As part of the Rohan Design District festival, we led visitors through our projects on Rohanské nábřeží. The tour featured an administrative building nearing completion, showcasing the entrance lobby, office spaces, and rooftop terrace.

We also visited two almost-finished residential buildings, exploring their entrance areas, atrium with a central yellow staircase, and penthouses with rooftop terraces offering stunning views.

The tour concluded with a lecture by architects Eva Jiřičná and Petr Vágner, highlighting Eva’s inspiring career and the 25th anniversary of AI • DESIGN, which she co-founded with Petr Vágner.
