Observation Tower on the Chimney of Bernard Brewery

The Bernard Lookout Tower is a unique structure designed within the grounds of the Bernard Family Brewery in Humpolec. Its construction was carefully planned to ensure that the chimney, around which the tower is built, remains unaffected by the structure. For this reason, the lookout tower is entirely independent and self-supporting. It is composed of H-shaped steel profiles that encircle the chimney, following its shape along the entire height. These beams are interconnected by steel rings, using a method similar to the one applied in the construction of the chimney itself. The staircase and the roof above it are made of steel, cantilevered from the supporting structure around the chimney. The stair treads and risers are solid steel with an anti-slip finish, ensuring safe access. To enhance the tower's visual appeal, the underside of the staircase is clad with solid sheet metal, maintaining a clean and polished look from every angle.

The tower’s viewing platform provides panoramic views of Humpolec and the surrounding Vysočina landscape, making it a standout feature and an integral part of the Bernard Brewery visitor experience.
